In the heart of Tucson, AZ, nestled amidst the natural beauty of the desert, we had the opportunity to design a landscape that not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the area but also supports the local wildlife and livestock. This project focused on sustainable, adaptive landscaping strategies that blend seamlessly with the arid environment while ensuring easy access to essential resources.

A key component of this project was the installation of animal feeding and water troughs—essential containers that provide food and hydration for livestock such as cattle, horses, sheep, and goats. These troughs were strategically placed to ensure accessibility while maintaining harmony with the surrounding environment.

We incorporated native plants and other sustainable features that mirror the natural wilderness, encouraging local wildlife, such as deer, to thrive. A thoughtfully designed subtle barrier was installed to guide wildlife movement while preserving the unobstructed beauty of the landscape.

Another crucial element was the installation of a water feature that serves as a resource for both livestock and wildlife. This feature utilizes sustainable water management practices, ensuring efficient use in the harsh desert climate without unnecessary waste.

By thoughtfully integrating these elements, we have created a landscape that balances ecological sensitivity with functional design, providing nourishment for animals while maintaining the integrity of the natural desert environment. This project stands as a testament to how sustainable landscapes can support both livestock and wildlife, fostering coexistence between agriculture and nature.
